Wollongong Wolves are the first team to qualify for the 2008 N.S.W. Premier League Grand Final with a thrilling extra time victory over the Sutherland Sharks in the N.S.W. Premier League match at Seymour Shaw Park, Miranda on Sunday 24th August.

Wollongong FC are the first team in the NSW Premier League to make it into the September 7th Grand Final at Penrith's CUA Stadium after they today disposed of Sutherland with a late extra time winner by ILLIJA PRENZOSKI.
The score was 1-0 to Sutherland at half time but a goal to Matthew Bailey in the second half forced the game into extra time. With just 1 minute left on the clock and penalties looming Prenzoski again proved why he is the form striker of the NSW Premier League for season 2008.
John Turner is likely to turn up tomorrow at Sutherland with his most inexperienced team of the year.
Injuries to Michael Hawrysiuk (Achilles), Alfredo (hip flexor) and Matt Bailey (corked thigh) has crippled Turner's already battle weary side which is also without Michael West who is on the mend following a dangerous tackle which caused a spleen injury in their Round 22 clash with Sutherland.
Turner already had lost star striker Osagie Ederaro (Broken Foot) earlier in the season and with the departure of Dez Giraldi it looked unlikely the Wolves would play for such an important match especially when the boys were down 2-1 with 6 minutes to go last week.
Sunday's game for a place in the Grand Final kick's off at Seymour Shaw Park, Miranda at 3pm.
Wollongong FC are happy to announce that Michael West is on the road to recovery and has today left the hospital and is determined to be in the stands on Sunday to help support his team mates.
The club is relieved to hear Michael is back on his feet and doing much better.
